It all starts with a circle - the cycle of life.

Musician and researcher Layne Redmond wrote, “we vibrate to the rhythms of our mother’s blood before she herself is born”. This means that our life as an egg, while still a collection of cells, begins in the womb of our grandmothers as our mothers are in-utero.

Let us say this again - the egg that created you, lived in your maternal grandmother. This is how the strengths and gifts of your lineage are passed down. Just as the abuses, oppression and trauma of past generations. Excerpt from Feminine Principles by Nomita Khatri, Dona Geagea, Linda Daniels

Working with co-authors Dona and Linda to put language to what it means to work with the Feminine in Leadership we created a booklet in three parts. Click on the link above to read the first section - Body and Lineage with Hibiscus.

Send me an email if you'd like to read all three sections and experience the art that accompanies it. | Live March 2023

My contribution to this anthology, in the form of three poems along with 22 other poets, were written with Rebecca’s sensitive and masterly guidance while I sat under the canopy of a small yellow trumpet tree. It is a creation to help us feel deeply connected to ourselves and the many aspects that live within us, to heal wounds of division. At the time that Rebecca Cavender shared her idea for the anthology, I had been exploring in other ways, my own understanding of finding the balance between the feminine and masculine within me, in order to make sense of it without. Exploring it in the form of poems felt like an intriguing invitation.Sacred Reunion: Love Poems to the Masculine and Feminine—An Anthology can be bought here.| Published: April 2020

Published in SPICA: The Journal of Cosmology in Culture. | The paper Experiencing the Goan Skies explores the relationship between the sky and land at the onset of the Indian monsoon. Using a phenomenological and reflexive approach I regularly spent time observing the sky at different points as I went about my day, journaling my experience and photographing it over a period of two months. I found that my experience “under-sky” urged me to find expansiveness both outside and within. By encountering the sky as it was I gave myself permission to be present to who I was being in the moment too. | Published: August 2018
